TV Work

I worked in Hollywood for nearly a decade. Crazy! I worked my way up (fine, it was a lateral move) from an NBC Page to the UTA mailroom, for Chelsea Handler and her producers, and on several TV series. It was the best of times, it was .. well, you know.

Working in entertainment taught me so much about storytelling and catering to a specific audience while working in TV writers’ rooms with the smartest, most creative people around.

I learned skills that I believe will take me into my next chapter.

Here’s What I’m Skilled In:

  • Taking an idea from concept to execution with a creative team

  • Working with a team in the writers’ room and on set

  • Presenting and pitching to network executives, studios, and clients

  • Project management and aligning on deliverables with every team from casting to the writers’ room, production, and post

  • Writing and ghostwriting (TV, Film, Newsletters, Copy, Op-Eds, Corporate Comms…)

  • Copyediting

I wrote original pilots and screenplays. (The beginning of ‘Nefertiti’ is to your left) Topics ranged from a high school drama set at a private school in Atlanta, GA to a reporter joining a harem in the UAE!

I have also adapted clients’ books and ideas into pilots and screenplays.
